Global Banking Insights With Barclays

A group of our Year 10 students spent a day at the Barclays headquarters in Canary Wharf recently, gaining an insight into life at a major global bank and learning about the financial services sector.

They took part in a range of interactive activities, including a session facilitated by members of the Barclays Strategy and Corporate Development team during which they evaluated potential business acquisition opportunities, analysed the financial and strategic benefits of making an acquisition and presented their recommendations.

Students met business leaders from across the bank and got an opportunity to test out some of the latest technological innovations. They also learnt about different career pathways, including hearing from people who had joined Barclays through the graduate programmes and apprenticeship schemes.

A huge thank you to everyone at Barclays who helped to organise and deliver such an amazing experience for our students.
