Sixth Form Rewards Trip to Go Ape Crawley
Twenty eight of our sixth formers attended a rewards trip to Go Ape Crawley recently to enjoy The Segway Experience.
At the start of the experience, they were briefed by the Go Ape instructors. This included an introduction to the Segway and the health and safety protocols we had to follow when riding the Segways.
After the briefing, students dropped off their bags and headed to the training area, where they spent around 15 minutes learning to ride the Segway. After that, they were guided into the forest, where they were led to different forest trails.
Go Ape Crawley had three trails on offer: Trail A, Trail B, and Trail C. Our students were then given an hour to explore the forest and the trails. Overall, the trip was a massive success, and we look forward to going back in the near future.
“We got to go on a trip that we had never experienced before, which was a lot of fun," said Sam, Year 12. "In addition, the Segway were addictive to use and, by the end, I didn't want to come off. I enjoyed this trip and would definitely like to come back.”
Mariah, Year 12, said: “It was daunting at first, but once I started I got the hang of it and then it became easy. I would definitely go again."
