Year 7 Bursary Pathway
Welcome to the Harris Boys' Academy East Dulwich Year 7 bursary pathway page. On this page you'll find lots of helpful information regarding our amazing bursary pathway options for Year 7 students.
We are so proud of our school and the outstanding grades that we achieved last year, but we believe that a child’s school journey through secondary education is about so much more than just their academic grades.
This year we were delighted to launch of extensive bursary pathway programme. The four bursary pathway options available at our school are:
- Sport & Leadership
- Cricket
- Performing Arts (including Music, Drama and Art)
- STEM (including Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics)
Mr Edwards with our Performing Arts bursary students.
Within each bursary pathway, those pupils will have priority access to a wide variety of clubs, trips, student performances, guest speakers and more!
Each of our bursary pathways are linked to industry experts and professionals organisations. An example of this would be the partnership that our cricket bursary pathway has with Surrey County Cricket Club (who also partner with us for our Sixth Form cricket academy).
Another example would be our resident artist who we have within our Art department. Molly not only helps our pupils within their lessons, but is present at our KS3 extra-curricular art clubs and performing art bursary workshops.
All pupils will be accepted onto their chosen bursary pathway when they join the school in Year 7 and will receive confirmation of this before the start of the academic year.
Throughout the year, our teachers will email parents/carers about upcoming trips, workshops, guest speakers and more to ensure that pupils don’t miss out on these amazing opportunities.
