Gifted and talented dance sharing

G&T dance 3.15 2On Monday 2nd March, parents and staff were invited to a sharing of work that was produced from talented dancers from years 7-11.

The sharing was the result of a seven week project run by The Place to identify talented dancers and make them aware of the opportunities available to them through the CAT (Centre of Advanced Training) programme.

The workshops were let by Gerrard Martin and live accompaniment was provided by Femi Oyewole. Students thoroughly enjoyed being challenged every week and working with such talented professionals.

Director of Recreational and Prevocational Dance at The Place, Vanessa François, came to watch the sharing and commented on the outstanding level of focus and commitment from the students. It was a pleasure to watch our students dance at such a high level and make so much progress over 6 weeks, they should be very proud of themselves.
