Entrepreneur Encourages Boys to be Resilient
As part of Global Entrepreneurship Week, the school was pleased to welcome entrepreneur Mark Jenner to the school to share his experiences of co-founding the company Beeline.
Mark inspired the boys with his story of how he has taken his bicycle navigation business from a small start-up to a successful business generating over £1m in revenue. Last year, Mark appeared on BBC2’s Dragons Den and his product has been featured in several national newspapers. His product has also been used by Jeremy Clarkson in an episode of The Grand Tour!
Mark’s presentation focused on the importance of key entrepreneurial skills such as ambition, determination and resilience; all traits that we aim to develop in the boys here at the academy. Many of our Year 9 and 10 boys are now using Beeline as a Case Study for their work in our exciting new course in BTEC Enterprise. We look forward to seeing the work they produce!
