Our Magnificent Maths Club - Meet The President

Maths club 1Hello, my name is Samuel, and I am the President of the Maths Club at HBAED.

The Maths Club's main goal is to strengthen students love and passion for mathematics. Later in this section I will be explaining about the Maths Club team and what we plan for the future.

In the club, we often like to try and make maths models to stimulate the mind and enhance learning. In the Maths Club most members have a special role in the development of the club and I would like for you to meet my team:

  • Vice President – Emmanuel Koroma
  • Event Organiser – Luis Osinga Paz and Tyla Walker
  • Public Relations Officer – Isiah Gayle
  • Secretary – Joakim Obanokho-Williams
  • Assistant Public Relations Officer – Matthew Boghurst
  • Other Math members – Hozaifa Hassan and Zhi Jiang

Tyla, one of our event organisers says: “It’s maths, but it’s fun! I love the Maths Club! We can have fun as well as learn!”

Luis says: “I love Maths Club, we have a very good teacher and we have fun at the same time. We use the time to understand the work from previous classes!”

Maths club 2For the future, we would like to put posters around the school, advertising our club, about fundraisers we may do, for people to join the Maths Club as well as strategy game tournaments such as Connect 4, chess and checkers. I also hope with a lot of luck, we could provide the members with badges that they are part of the Maths Club.
